Police Reforms
Reforms to the police force in Pakistan are an important part of making the country better. TJP wants Pakistan to be fair and calm, and TJP thinks the cops play a big part in making that happen. TJP is set on making the police an organization that the community respects and that can respond quickly to needs. For everyone to be safe and have their rights, our police force’s goal is to follow the law honestly, faithfully, and with kindness.
Community Policing and Engagement
TJP is responsible for making sure that the cops and the people they serve have stronger relationships. Will use community police models to help build a strong sense of community, get more people involved, and support trust and respect between everyone. There will be ways for the community to give feedback on the policy plans so that they meet the needs and address the worries of the communities.
Training and Professional Development
TJP is committed to giving police officers in-depth training programmes that cover topics like human rights, gender equality, conflict settlement, and new ways to keep crime from happening. As time goes on, our police officers will continue to learn new things and get better at the ones they already know how to do. This is called professional growth.
Transparency and Accountability
People will trust the cops more if they are held accountable and open to the public. This should be made sure of by setting up separate groups to look into claims of wrongdoing against cops and offices. Body cams and other technologies will be used by more police officers so that their work is more open. However, privacy and security issues will affect how the data is used.
Furthermore, TJP recognizes the vital role of police and proposes a multi-pronged approach. We will improve work conditions (pay, healthcare, mental health) and invest in officer development. Recruitment will be revamped for a more diverse force, and legislative changes will grant operational freedom with accountability. Modernizing practices to meet international standards will empower our police, creating a safer future for all.
Internal Security, Socio-Political Inclusivity
The work to protect the nation does not just stay on the borders of the country, it goes right to the heart of our society. For long-lasting peace and safety, TJP is committed to making it easier for everyone to be a part of society and to solving the economic, social, and political problems of everyone, especially violent people. The goal of the national security strategy is to get rid of discontent and build a strong, united country by focusing on broad economic growth, political changes, and social justice projects.
Modernization and Resources
TJP knows that modern technology can help us reach our goal of making police work more like it is today, which is why TJP is going to spend on modernizing the police force. Some of these steps are keeping the tools up to date, making the communication systems better, and preventing crime by using data. There will be money set aside to make sure the cops have the newest tools to handle new events.
Enhancing Civil-Military Cooperation
TJP will ensure lasting internal peace and security through positive civil-military cooperation. This collaborative approach hinges on inclusivity, addressing grievances, and engaging with dissenting voices. TJP will make efforts to foster a sense of shared responsibility among all the stakeholders in order to address perceived grievances to make a more unified society and strengthening internal security. To overcome 5th generation warfare and maintain public trust in the Armed Forces of Pakistan, TJP promises to apply a set of measures for making the connection between different branches of the military and civilian organizations closer, transparent, and communicative. TJP will hold regular oversight meetings and release public reports that provide clear descriptions of military operations as well as military expenditures, thus building transparency and simplifying the complexities of military activities. The objective of this is to instill in the public the significance and expected results of military actions, as a means of furthering national interests.
There will be creation of special channels of communication for dialogue between the military and civilian branches of power, where military and national security issues, as well as the protection of civil interests, are discussed. The military activities must be coordinated with civil policy. To ensure that we are able to effectively link our citizens and the military, we will introduce a few programs that seek to engage them and address their concerns. Members of armed forces will take part in community service actions, mostly in the areas of disaster response and public health, for which the armed forces will be recognized as a force that recognizes its duty not only for defense but also for the general welfare of the country. Arrange a yearly military base open day where civilians have the chance to meet soldiers, explore presentations and learn about the everyday actions of the military, thus increasing the awareness and respect towards them.
We will partner with media organizations to highlight the military role by showcasing their roles and accomplishments in national development and crisis management through documentaries, news features and interviews with the military personnel. Also, we will use social media channels for prompt updates that are accurate and related to the military operations and society as well. This would counter the misinformation and establish the narrative of transparency and integrity.
